free classes

Almost overnight, the global pandemic put the entire burden of raising human beings solely on parents. Parents were left without any support systems such as schools, extended family members, or other community members or community-based services. They were tasked to care for, provide, educate, and raise their children single-handedly while also struggling to meet their own human needs in the midst of a global pandemic. What a heroic feat indeed!

As a teacher and behavior therapist, this was painful for me to watch and it was what spurred me to start The Effective Parent. Over the last month and a half, I have worked hard to get it up and running in order to be part of the solution.

I am offering free classes below to educate and help parents, children, and families as we go through this uncertain time.

When there is fear and anxiety around us, we do not have to give in. We do not have to be stuck. We do not have to simply endure. We do not have to just survive. We can take charge. We can control what is within our power to control. We can learn and educate ourselves. We can support each other. We can teach our kids to self-regulate. We can increase cooperation in our homes.

Parenting in a pandemic is hard and grueling, I know. But we can still thrive. Even in the worst of times, we can always find a way to thrive. We can do this together. Join me. Learn with me. Let me help you.
